Sasha and Warwick married at the beautiful Boomrock, just outside of Wellington. Although they were originally to marry in Fiji, a wedding close to home turned out perfectly in the end. 

Sasha has been a dear friend of mine for over seven years and she is one special lady! So, of course, it was lovely to work alongside her to plan her and Warwick's wedding flowers.

Sasha knew what she was looking for but also wanted me to bring my creative flair to the design. She didn't want to go overboard as that doesn't match her personality - it definitely helped that I have known Sasha for so long, so we were on the same page. We decided in favour of understated simplicity; neutrals with a small pop of the delicious quicksand roses and added some Toi Toi.

At first, Sasha wanted me to simply attend the wedding and enjoy myself, however quickly changed her mind and asked me to do her wedding florals. While it can be a big day to set up the flowers and then attend the wedding, I personally wouldn’t have it any other way! It is so nice to enjoy the flowers and celebrate with all the guests.

On the day there was a bit of wind which made setting up the archway interesting to say the least!! But we got there in the end and it was so beautiful. What a privilege it was to attend and to make the florals for such a dear friend.
